Medical Records
Medical records are not considered “Public Records”. Medical records are confidential and are protected by Federal Privacy Laws. Persons requesting copies of medical records must provide proof of identification and sign a release of Medical Information. In accordance with Florida Administrative Code 64B8-10.003, Costs of reproducing copies of medical records shall be as follows:

    1. For the first 25 pages, the cost shall be $1 per page. 
    2. For each page in excess of 25 pages the cost shall be .25¢. 
    3. Special kinds of medical records shall be the actual cost. The phrase “actual 
        cost” means the cost of the material and supplies used to duplicate the
        record as well as the labor costs and overhead costs associated with such
        duplication.
