Road & Bridge Department Trucks

The Nassau County Road Department first purchased trucks in 1923 under the direction of County road direct “Cap” Youngblood.

Amelia Road

Amelia Road was graded in 1935. The majority of today’s County roads were planned and constructed between the 1920s and 1940s. Shown grading Amelia Road in 1935 are two individuals most influential in the construction of the present County road system.
