March 20, 2020: Governor issues Executive Order No. 20-71 ordering restaurants and bars to suspend on-premises food consumption and closing gymnasiums and fitness centers.

March 20, 2020: City of Fernandina Beach has discontinued the ability to park on the beach at Seaside Park (Sadler Rd). All beach accesses and parking lot areas remain open.

March 18, 2020: Board of County Commissioners approves Resolution No. 2020-35 declaring Local State of Emergency.​

March 17, 2020: Governor issues Executive Order 20-68 regarding bars, beaches and restaurants. ​

​March 17, 2020: Nassau County School District sends out notification that all schools will be closed until April 15, 2020.

March 16, 2020: One Nassau Initiative Joint Information System established to monitor rapidly changing situation and provide a unified message to our residents from all aspects of the County Government including: Department of Health, Board of County Commissioners, Emergency Management, Fire Rescue, Sheriff, School Board and other Constitutional Offices.

March 16, 2020: The City of Fernandina Beach cancels all City Board meetings through March 31st.

March 16, 2020: The School District announces Student Meal Plan for the week of March 23-March 27. Breakfast and lunch will be provided  for students the week of March 23-March 27 from 10am-1pm.

March 13, 2020: Nassau County School District cancels school through March 27th. This includes Spring Break which was scheduled the week of March 16-March 20 and the following week of March 23-27.
