The Beach Department provides lifeguard protection for the Beach Front Parks during the peak season (May – September, ending after Labor Day weekend).

During the off-season, training is provided which includes:
  • Certification for CPR
  • First aid
  • Water safety / rescue skills for next year’s seasonal staff

Also during the off season, the Ocean Rescue Staff is responsible for the maintenance of the Beach Front Parks.
