June 27, 2018 - We recognize that community input and engagement is the most important component to a successful planning initiative, and will be engaging people throughout the Western Nassau Heritage Preservation process. PEO Staff has compiled a starting list of seventy organizations, agencies, and community groups that we know we will want to engage in this conversation. Our proposed roadmap for this planning effort envisions the outreach being a continual part of the process, but our main priority in particular for the next twelve months.
At our June 26, 2018 Western Nassau Heritage Preservation Committee meeting in Callahan, members of the Committee and the public helped test our public outreach tools. We look forward to getting community input in the coming months!
