Seaside Gateway Project (Sadler Road Project)

How can we shape our public realm in order to maximize shared value for all?

We are working with the City of Fernandina Beach to analyze the potential for complete streets roadway improvements between Fletcher and Drury Road.

Goals for the improvements:

  • To improve safety for all users
  • Enhance pedestrian experience for locals and tourists
  • Increase parking within a 1/4 mile of the beach
  • Create bike lanes for all users by widening them and adding buffers
  • Make Sadler Road a destination.

City and county staff will be set up at the Fernandina Beach Farmer's Markets on Saturday June 30, July 7, and July 14, and keep an eye out for us along Sadler Road, we will be doing pop-up events during the day to talk to residents and get feedback on opportunities to improve Sadler Road, and we want to hear from you!

We will be holding two public meetings on the following dates:

  • July 12
  • July 19

These meetings will be held at the Peck Center from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Address for Peck Center: 516 South 10th Street)
